Board of Directors

MEL Board is made of five (5) outstanding experts with diverse background in Finance, Commerce and Engineering services. These individuals determine the general policies of the Company:

OBASOLA SHODERU
Chairman
Mr. Obasola Shoderu is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an alumnus of the University of Lagos; and a Capital Market expert, Mr. Shoderu has a considerable exposure at Senior Management level in many commercial, financial, manufacturing, petroleum, marketing, engineering, construction organizations, as well as in the financial services sector, with special interest in corporate and municipal financing.

SAM O ONUKWUE
Managing Director
Mr. Sam O. Onukwue is an accomplished Investment Banker, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He holds an MBA from the University of Lagos and has served at senior management level in Central Bank of Nigeria, Ivory Merchant Company, Thomas Cook/ Travelex Global & financial services and Executive Director Position in Citizens International Bank/Spring Bank Plc.

B.O.OGBONNA
Executive Director
Mr. Ogbonna graduated with a B.A. Accounting from Glassboro State College, New Jersey U.S.A. in 1975 and MBPA (finance) South Eastern University, Washington DC in 1980. On return to Nigeria, Mr. Ogbonna was a lecturer with the Institute of Management Technology, Enugu before joining ICON Ltd. Merchant Bankers in 1983. He moved on to Icon Stock-Brokers, where he trained and qualified as a Dealing clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

He left ICON in 1989 to join PIVOT Finance , Prior to his joining the company he was with MAXIFUND Investment and Securities Ltd. (member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange) where he served as Chief Operating Officer.

MRS. BOLA SANUSI
Director
Mrs. Sanusi holds a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Lagos. She retired from Omega Company Plc to engage in private business. She brings her experience to bear on the affairs of the company.

Mr. J. I. ONWUGHARA
Director
Mr. Onwughara is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and holds a Masters Degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Ibadan. He retired as Deputy General Manager with Savanah Bank Plc and is currently engaged in Financial Consultancy services. Mr Onwughara brings to the board his wealth of experience.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sam O. Onukwue is an accomplished Investment Banker, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.

Mr. Emmanuel Ndidi B.Sc, M.Sc., MBA, ACS, ACPIN
Head, Wealth Management /Securities Trading
Mr. Ndidi holds a first and second degree in economics and an MBA from the University of Lagos. He was the General Manager, Anchoria Investment and Securities Limited for many years before joining Mega Equities Limited. He is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Stock-Brokers and Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria.

Mr. Adebayo Durodola B.Ed., M.Sc
Head, Business Development and Performance Management

Mr. Durodola holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan. He started his career as a Research Assistant with the Macroeconomic Policy Research Program, University of Ibadan. He has served as Head of Research and Business Analyses in Brickfield Road Associates Limited and as Head of Research in Nigerian Stockbrokers Limited before he joined Mega Equities Limited.

Mr. Oluremi Akinwale HND.,ACA, ACIS, M.BF
Head, Corporate Finance
Mr. Akinwale holds a Masters Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ibadan. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He has over 20 years of accounting and corporate finance experience garnered across the Nigerian Financial Industry. Mr. Akinwale was an assistant Manager with IBTC Chartered Bank Plc before joining Mega Equities Limited.

Mr. Paul Uhegwu ACA,PGD
Head, Financial Control
Mr Uhegwu is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. He has 17 years experience cutting across Industrial sector accounting, Audit and accountancy services. He has worked with Studio Press Nigeria Plc and Agochukwu Okpaloka & Co (Chartered Accountants) before joining Mega Equities Limited.

Mr. Uche Ibendiogwu
Head, Operations
He holds a HND degree in Accountancy and heads the Operations/Admin Department. He joined the company as a pioneer staff. He is a student member of the Chartered Institute of Stock-Brokers and Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria.
